Alum is Known as aluminium sulphate with the chemical formula Al2 (SO4)3.18HO.
It is of two types (i) Ferric and (ii) Non Ferric.
Non-Ferric Alum is a pure form of Aluminium sulphate.
It is being used in
Mfg. Pulp and Paper
Textile Printing and Sizing
Flocculant in Water treatment
Mfg. of Soap and detergent cake
And many more effluent treatment and potable water treatment industries.
Non-Ferric Alum is manufactured from aluminium trihydrate reacted with sulphuric acid under suitable conditions. The resultant product is cooled in suitable moulds to slabs.
It is available in both, solid and liquid forms.

Sodium Sulphate is the inorganic compound with chemical formula as Na2SO4 and also known as Sodium Sulfate, Glaubers salt. It is fully Soluble in Water.About one third of the world's sodium sulphate is produced as by-product of other processes in chemical industry. The major production of sodium sulphate are the processes where surplus Sodium Hydroxide is being neutralise by sulphuric acid or surplus acid is being neutralise by Sodium hydroxide.

Ammonium sulphate (called as AS) is being produced since many years.
Previously it was made from ammonia released during manufacturing coal gas or from coal coke used to produce steel. It is made from a reaction of sulfuric acid and air ammonia.
Most of the current demand for ammonium sulphate is met by production from by-products of various industries.
For example, ammonium sulphate is a co-product in the manufacturing process of nylon.
Certain by-products that contain ammonia or spent sulfuric acid are commonly converted to ammonium Sulphate for use in many intermediate production.
Although the color can range from white to yellow and green, it is consistently sold as a highly soluble crystal that has excellent storage properties.
Ammonium sulphate is one of the first and most widely used nitrogen (N) for crop production. It is now less commonly used, but especially valuable where both N and sulphur(S) are required.
Its high solubility provides versatility for a number of industrial as well as agriculture applications.
Ammonium Sulphate falls under basic inorganic chemicals being used in multiple industries to produce fertilizer, Leather, Steel and Iron Dyestuffs and many more water soluble Agro chemical Intermediates.

Acetic acid, glacial appears as a clear colourless liquid with a strong odour of vinegar.
Acetic acid is one of the simplest carboxylic acids. It is an important chemical reagent and industrial chemical being used in the production of plastic soft drink bottles, photographic film, and for wood glue, as well as many synthetic fibres and Textile fabrics. In households diluted acetic acid is often used as a cleaning agent. In the food industry acetic acid is used as an acidity regulator.
